Description                                               The OCF 6.1 is an open channel flow meter that doubles as a tank level meter, making it a perfect solution for both non-contacting flow measurement and level measurement. The non-contacting open channel flow meter is able to continuously monitor, display, totalize, and data log flow through any flume or weir. Description:
  • Accurately measure the flow rate of relatively clean, non-aerated liquids like potable water, raw water, cooling water, de-ionized or reverse-osmosis water, oils and chemicals in full pipes. Ultrasonic transducers mount on the outside of a pipe without shutting down flow. Flow rate is displayed on the large, backlit display, along with total volume, signal strength, relay status, and other diagnostic values. Use the built-in control relays as flow alarms or volume totalization. Connect the isolated 4-20mA output to PLC's or controllers. A 128MB data logger is standard, capable of capturing up to 26 million data points. Optional MODBUS RTU via RS-485 available for connection to automation systems.
  • The TTFM 6.1 works on a wide range of pipe sizes and materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, concrete lined ductile iron, cast iron, PVC, PVDF, fiberglass, copper, brass, aluminum and pipes with bonded liners including epoxy, rubber and Teflon.
  • The TTFM 6.1 Transit Time Flow Meter operates by measuring the “transit time” or “time of flight” for ultrasonic sound pulses transmitted from one transducer to another. Depending on the mounting configuration, the signal may cross the pipe once, twice or four times. To measure flow the transit time is compared between ultrasonic signals travelling upstream and downstream.

Specifications:Scope: 
  • This specification covers a Clamp-On Transit-Time Ultrasonic Flow Meter as manufactured by Greyline Instruments, Largo, Florida / Long Sault, Ontario. The meter shall provide for non-intrusive flow measurement, direction indication, volume totalizing, and transmitting of the flow rate in a full pipe.

Performance Specifications:
  • The ultrasonic flow meter shall have an accuracy of ±1% of reading or ±0.015 ft/sec (±0.0046 m/sec), whichever is greater. Have repeatability and linearity of ±0.25%.
  • Shall operate on relatively clean liquids in full pipes with less than 2% solids or gas bubbles at flow velocities from ±0.07 to 40 ft/sec (±0.02 to 12 m/sec).
  • Operate on any metal, or plastic, sonic conducting material including carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, concrete lined ductile iron, cast iron, PVC, PVDF, fiberglass, galvanized steel, copper, brass and pipes with bonded liners including epoxy, rubber and Teflon.
  • The ultrasonic flow meter shall be optimized and pre-programmed for the application when information like pipe material, pipe size, wall thickness, fluid type, fluid temperature, and max flow rate are provided at time of order.

  • The flow meter shall have a dual transmitting/receiving, clamp-on transducers.
  • The transducers shall operate continuously at temperatures from -40°F to 300°F (-40°C to 150°C).

      DESCRIPTION                                                  The LIT25 is a level indication sensor that displays, controls, and transmits level. The non-contacting level sensor mounts at the top of a tank and the compact, watertight display enclosure is mounted at a convenient location nearby. Operators can calibrate the LIT25 with its 2-button keypad, without climbing to the top of the tank, enabling organizations to gain better stock and inventory control and tank level measurement that complies with health and safety regulations. 

      Use the built-in relay for level control or alarm, the large 4-digit display for local indication, and the isolated 4-20mA output to transmit level to a PLC. The standard ultrasonic level sensor measures liquid levels up to 9.8 m (32 ft) and includes automatic temperature compensation allowing for that all-important, reliable, level measurement even when conditions within the application are changing.       Description:
      • The MantaRay Portable Area-Velocity Flow Meter measures flow in open channels, partially filled and surcharged pipes using an ultrasonic sensor. It's designed for monitoring stormwater, sewage, industrial effluent, irrigation water and natural streams. The MantaRay displays and datalogs flow rate and total flow and connects to samplers, SCADA and telemetry systems.
      • Calibration is simple: enter the pipe diameter or channel dimensions and the MantaRay automatically computes and displays the flow rate and total on its backlit LCD display. Mount the sensor at the bottom of the pipe or channel and hang the IP67 electronics case above the high water level.

      Hydrodynamic Ultrasonic Sensor:
      • The MantaRay uses a submerged ultrasonic sensor to continuously measure flow or reverse flow in open channels, partially filled or surcharged pipes. The sensor is a completely sealed ultrasonic unit with no orifices or ports. It is hydrodynamically shaped and designed to shed deposits and stringers for reliable operation in sewage, stormwater and stream flow applications.
      • The QZ02L sensor mounts inside the pipe or at the bottom of an open channel. No special compounds, tools or hardware are required. A stainless steel mounting bracket is included and a size range of optional pipe bands are available for sensor installation in manholes.

      The Greyline Instruments, by Pulsar Measurement, PDFM 5.1 doppler flow meter is fast and easy to operate making it ideal for flow troubleshooting, balancing and checking performance of permanent flow meters. The non-contact sensor quickly attaches to the outside of a pipe while the built-in keypad and calibration menu let you set up the instrument in minutes. Use the PDFM 5.1 for projects where a permanent flowmeter is not required or to temporarily replace installed flow transmitters.

      The PDFM 5.1 non-intrusive Doppler ultrasonic sensor works with pipes from 1/2" to 180" in diameter. An acoustic pulse is reflected back to the sensor from particles or gases in the flowing liquid. The flow rate of any fluid can be measured as long as it contains air bubbles or solids. It is ideal for wastewater, slurries, sludge, and most chemicals, acids, caustics, and lubrication fluids. The system works with most metal and plastic pipes including PVC, ductile iron, carbon steel and stainless steel.

      The PDFM 5.1 is AC/DC powered with built-in NiMH batteries and external charger. With its 4-20mA output you can use the PDFM 5.1 as a spare transmitter in critical applications. For flow studies and troubleshooting, use the built-in 300,000 point data logger. Data logs can be retrieved with the data logging software. Simply connect the USB output directly to your PC or Laptop to download data logger files.

        • Use this versatile instrument to continuously measure, display, transmit and control liquid level in storage tanks and pumping stations, or to monitor and totalize Open Channel Flow through any flume or weir. Mount the non-contacting ultrasonic sensor above the liquid being measured and install the watertight electronics enclosure nearby. Features a user-friendly keypad calibration system, backlit LCD display, an isolated 4-20mA output and 2 programmable control relays.
        • Calibration is easy with the built-in 5 button keypad. The SLT 5.0 offers simple menu selection of measurement units (gallons, liters etc.), calculates volume in horizontal round tanks, or flow rate (and total) through any flume or weir.
        • For hazardous locations, the ultrasonic sensor is rated Intrinsically Safe with an optional safety barrier. The standard PVC and Teflon Sensor is rated for measurement ranges up to 32 ft/10 m, or select optional sensors for flange-mount or applications requiring longer measurement range. Options include 4 additional control relays (6 total) and a built-in 2-million point Data Logger with USB output to Flash memory sticks.

        • The PTFM 1.0 ultrasonic transducers clamp-on the outside of pipes from 2" to 48" (50 to 1200 mm) diameter. The ultrasonic signal works through common pipe materials including carbon steel, stainless steel, ductile iron, cast iron, PVC, PVDF, fiberglass, copper, brass, aluminum and pipes with bonded liners including epoxy, rubber and Teflon. Transducers can be mounted without shutting down flow and there is no obstruction or pressure drop. It measures and totalizes forward and reverse flow.
        • The PTFM 1.0 Portable Transit Time Flow Meter operates by measuring the “transit time” or “time of flight” for ultrasonic sound pulses transmitted from one transducer to another. Depending on the mounting configuration the signal may cross the pipe once, twice or four times. To measure flow the transit time is compared between ultrasonic signals travelling upstream and downstream.

        • Sensor cable length shall be as required by installation, not to exceed 500' (152 m)
        • System shall have no moving parts and shall not contact the material being measured
        • Shall include a built-in keypad and simple menu system for calibration, and Windows™ software for calibration and monitoring by modems or direct RS232 connection

        Sensing Element:
        • Sensor shall be constructed of PVC
        • The sensor shall have a minimum dead band or blanking of 16" (407 mm) and a maximum range of 32 ft. (10 m), and have an operating frequency of 46 kHz with an ultrasonic beam angle of 8 Degrees
        • Sensor shall withstand accidental submersion to 20 psi
        • Sensor operating temperature shall be from -40°F to 150°F (-40°C to 65°C)
        • Sensor shall include integral temperature sensor. Temperature sensors requiring separate mounting and wire runs shall not be accepted

        Sensor Connecting Cable:
        • Provide RG 62 AU coaxial cable 25' (7.6 m) continuous length, with waterproof, potted bond to the Sensor head
        • Extended sensor cable shall be RG 62 AU coaxial to a maximum of 500' (152 m). Cable shall be spliced with screw terminal connections in manufacturer's recommended steel NEMA 4 Junction Box
        • Level and temperature signals shall be conducted on one single coaxial cable. Separate or multiple-conductor cables shall not be accepted
        • Sensor cable shall be installed in grounded metal conduit
